84 bayliner with 225D motor. Went to get gas filter, not the one by carb, but the one right by fuel pump. They sold me a kit that replaces that setup. They said i didnt need anything else, and it would bolt up. The old bolts don't even go thru the new housing , and even if they did, the holes don't line up. Do i have to find a place to mount this, and then plumb lines?
While taking everything apart, i noticed the metal gas line going from carb to fuel pump, had a hole in it. Where is the best place to look for these lines, or do i try and make them up?

I have no idea what the kit is or looks like, but I would take it back if it doesn't fit.
You can make a new fuel line out of a straight steel brake line from an auto parts store. Use a tube bender and bend to shape, cut to length, and make a double flare for the other end.
Then get a 10 micron water seperating fuel filter kit from any marine store and install it between the tank and the fuel pump.
