I am concerned about the number of people that have has corrosion issues with their BIII's. We just purchased a boat with a year 2000 BIII. I am trying to find a silver chloride reference electrode in Canada. Here is one I found online

Alternatively, do these mercathode monitors work? I believe they have been discontinued for some reason.

The silver chloride reference electrode is used to connect to a volt meter which will measure the voltage being putout by the mercathode. Mercruiser sells the same type probe 91-76675T1. The Mercathode monitor 86300A1 is New old stock and is no longer used. It was a method to check if the mercathode was working and I think (no sure) was prior to B3 drives.

If you get the probe and measure the voltage it should be
Fresh Water Areas -
620 - 1180 Millivolts with Digital Meter
Salt, Polluted or Mineral Laden Water Areas:
750 - 1180 Millivolts with Digital Meter
