I think that 7500# weight is way low. I have a 24', 8.6 beam and it weighs about 6500 (weighed on a certified public scale). My aluminum trailer adds about 900.
My friend has a 28' cruiser. His boat and trailer came close to 11K# (again, at a certified public scale.)
My trailer tires are 15' "D" load range, and rated at 2540# each.
