I'm thinking a swim platform would be a nice addition to my boat. But i don't want to pay thousands of dollars. This is just a thought but here's my question, can you make a swim platform with any teak wood? For example I could get this bench for 200 dollars and it's sold teak. What do you think.

Cheers and thanks. :thumb:

Buy a bench and strap it to the stern have a sit down and life is great, Nope not going to work.

While the bench can hold a good amount of weight all with forces going straight down, your load will be cantilevered off the stern. So if you want something like this to work you need to make or have brackets made.

Edit: something like these
