disposal of "old" lower unit lube, type C

I just drained and refilled the lower unit on the 1972 100 hp 'rude. It uses type C lubricant. In todays climate of recycle if possible, what suggestions might there be to recycle, or at least, properly dispose of.

I keep a 5 gallon bucket for used oil. Once its full I take it to O'reillys. They have a recycle tank and take used oil here in MO.

Anywhere that does oil changes have to accept it.
