Depth finder?

Our integrated depth finder isnt getting any readings from the transducer. It just reads 2.0 feet at all times. Boat is a 2000 Cobalt 206 and the depth finder is a factory unit. I have searched everywhere and cannot find the transducer. Any clues where its located and any ideas on troubleshooting?

If it isn't hanging off the back of the boat it is a thru hull.

They are normally mounted in the back and probably on the starboard (right) side so the cable is shorter, so start looking around in the bilge area.

They are glued in though so i'm not sure what you can do with it, maybe see about getting another trans to replace it.

When you do find it check the hull directly under where it is mounted to be sure it isn't just built up lake scum.
