Cut seat out or not?

I have a 14 foot v- bottom narrow only 44" across the seat was wondering if I could remove the middle seat and add plastic tank? Should I leave part of the seat attached from side to side for support or can I just remove the whole thing? Plan on boxing it in and surrounding the tank with new foam. Thanks for any info

It would all depend on whether the middle seat is needed for hull rigidity or not. Since you're having to cut it out, am assuming the boat is either fiberglas or aluminum. It's hard to tell without knowing more about the boat construction. If in doubt, I believe I would leave it or a similar brace in.

Jack is %100 right needed for support in most boats.
