Cost of boring motor

Any ideal what the cost is to bore a Johnson 70hp motor...about a 75 model?

Well, a guy who does it from his home around here, charges 40$ a hole.<br />Pistons/Wrist Pins/Rings not included.<br /><br />Depending on the state of the other cylinders, you may wish to have all <br />rebored.<br /><br />If the other cyl. are in good shape, and you don't need a major reboring, you<br />may be able to get away with just boring the problem cyl. But ask around<br />as I am not a Mechanic.<br /><br />Mike

Oh, and the cost of boring the block is miniscule compared to labor charges<br />for tear down, reassembly, and tune of the engine.<br /><br />Mike

I had one of my eltos Borded, it was 200, FOR EVERY THING he justbored, I took apart and reasyped and new piston (and RODS) a got threw him.It was also a small motor!
