Control Box

I have a 1975 Evinrude 115 with the original control box. The key switch is getting a little worn, I have a
control box from a 1989 Evinrude 115. Can I use the key switch from it and hook up the choke to the new switch.
The original choke switch is underneath the key, I am wondering if the newer switch with push in choke can be hooked up.

Is the remote elect plug the same color as the 75?I think you can use the new box on the 75.

Should be no problem. Just move the choke wire from the old toggle switch to the C terminal on the new key switch. Or you can leave the choke like it is and just don't push the push-key/choke (It won't do anything if you do)
