Cobalt Depth Finder

I have a 2001 246 Cobalt and the depth finder screen is blank. Seemed to work fine until around the time we power washed the engine compartment. Now when I toggle through the different depths, it will show the depth for the alarm but then goes blank and doesn't show the actual depth. Anyone have a PDF or link to trouble shoot the depth finder operation or suggestions what to try?

Welcome to iBoats . . .

you will want to reference technical support and troubleshooting guides for the particular brand of depth finder . . . Could be a Lowrance brand? It sounds like the depth finder may have crapped out. Make sure the sender is still intact and the wiring is still good. Something may have happened to it during the power washing.

Yep, something's messed up with the transducer or the cable running to it.

That happened to me once and found that the transducer cable had worked it's way loose just a bit.......a good push in tight brought back the proper display.
