The only one time did I find a use for them. I had a 14' alum boat with a 15 hp jonnyrude, as I was sitting in the back all the time. The fin was a great way to get the bow down quickly to get on plane much faster with just me in the boat. Otherwise it was a waste of time if your boat is loaded correctly.

Will need to add this extra + to whatever the doel fins are intended for. Airshot has proven what said before. Gondoliers drivers and doel fins makes a perfect match when solo boating.
