Re: carburator

Ayuh,... No disrespect intended,...
But,...
If you're not comfortable taking the carb off the motor,...
There's no way in 'ell you're gonna Rebuild that carb....

This is a Rochester 4bbl. ain't it,..??

Are you getting Gas in the oil when Running,..?? Or just when it sits awhile,..??

Righty tighty, lefty goosey, there's not much to screw up taking off a carbur-e-tor other than dropping a nut down into the intake manifold and having to perform emregency surgery.

Re: carburator

Are you sure the fuel problem is the carb and not the fuel pump?

Re: carburator

I will bet that the diaphram on the fuel pump is bad. I would replace the fuel pump, change the oil, replace the filters and see if the problem still exists.

I would determine the cause before I just through $100+/- at it.

There is a sticky at the top "Adults Only" inside there is a link for testing the fuel system. Great resource.
