I turn my water pump on, it runs, but I can't seem to get the water to go through it? Do I have to prime the pump or something? 1990 doral cavalier. Never had a problem before......

adamnigo, I have zero knowledge about your setup, but are you certain there is no blockage in the water lines? Lots of time insects love to build in any type opening. So make sure the lines are cleared... JMHO!

unscrew the screen on the end of the facet and see if water comes out.

Depends on the pump. Is it "self priming". If not, I fill my tank up till water exits the vent, then turn on pump. By doing this, the vent is normally located above the pump. If water exits the vent, water should reach the pump and prime it.

Could also be a bad impeller in pump, depending on the type pump it is. Best wishes

There is a strainer before the pump. They get clogged and no waterflow.
