Can not find it on the chart!

I have a older 35hp Mercury motor,The problem is I need a carb rebuild kit .I can not find a chart with this s/n A184289 on it. I think the motor is somewhere around a1985 or 86 but I am not for shore. The motors cowl has a brown stripe. THANKS for helping in advance.

Your serial number comes up as a 1985. I make the kit to be a Sierra 18-7021. But check your gaskets against the picture. It can be purchased at http://www.iboats.com/Mercury-Carbu...1413642--session_id.663171842--view_id.271586

In the FAQs on top of the Merc section, one of the links is about what year of your Merc. MaxRules has a chart that ID's your motor SN range. wrench3 found the kit.
