Can I make my own minor prop repair?

I have two stainless steel props that are kind of dinged up. They both work well on the boat and I have no problems with them. The leading edge of both of them is kind of nicked or chewed up. It's not bad, a few gouges 1/8" deep and just a flattened, rough edge.

I looked into prop repair and it's going to run $250 for both. I was wondering if I can dress them up with an angle grinder and belt sander myself and save the money?

A hammer and end grain wood block will serve to remove some small bends and a bastard cut file will smooth the dings. Angle grinder or belt sander will be too aggressive and difficult to control. Hand work here is better. Eventually though, you will need to pony up the cash and get it repaired correctly.
