can anyonr tell me if these are the right parts?

I'm trying to replace the impeller before Friday so I went to west marine to get the parts, but the guy didn't seem sure if these were the right ones? It's a 350 carbed mercruiser serial number 0k040853

The thermostat doesn't say 160 on it but the gasket has the two brass fittings on the sides

So the back of the thermostat says 60c 140f. I'm guessing that won't work for my boat?

the impeller is in the outdrive (Alpha) or engine mounted (Bravo) .serial number is missing a digit.

It shows up fine for me using 0K040853 there. OP, I would buy the housing also. It is not that much more and you have to take it off anyway. Mine was pitted and I think that is what caused my impeller to go last fall or at least might have helped it go. I now have a spare onboard.

So you're saying the impeller is the wrong one too? I'd like to buy online but I'm trying to put it on by Friday.

By housing do you mean the water pump housing? this is my first time doing this.

Yes the pump housing. You may have the multi piece housing now but you can just put on the 1 piece in its place. I use the Napa parts because they are close and carry them. I know some say use OEM but I have been using Napa impellers for 8 years with no problems. The Napa part for just impeller is 18-3087 (they use Sierra part numbers).

Sorry I meant to post the pic of the parts I got. Wondering if these will work? Especially because the thermostat says 140F on the back. Is the impeller at least the right part?

if you copied and pasted my serial number into the website, make sure there is no space after the last digit. backspace to remove it and it should come up

I found the correct thermostat kit it is 18-3647

Does anyone know if this impeller kit will work?

cross referencing the parts in the kit to their original Merc part numbers reveals that that is the correct kit.... If you have the one piece body you will have a couple of gaskets not used.

Mercs' EPC... Put your engine serial number into that website BT posted (in post# 5) and you have a full parts listing, just go to the 'Seawater Pump' section, you get full breakdown of the pump, and the part numbers.

You're the man, you seem to always be helping my issues. Any recommendations for oil? Any good brand 20w40?
