Let's say you needed a kicker motor (7-9hp)and had nowhere on the transom to mount it. Could it be mounted to the main outboard (90hp with tilt/trim)? The main engine would not be used while the kicker is mounted except to steer.

I know what you're thinking "Gee, spots was funny, I'm gonna miss him" but fear not, for I have a plan...

If I took two pieces of steel and formed them around the 90 horse's midsection and lined them with rubber could it be tightned enough to hold the kicker (under power) without cracking the housing? Think of it like a foot tall steel belt wrapped around the outboard.

Hmmmn...A redneck with a welder and a plan, isn't that in Revelations?

spots
