Put a Simmons 3-9x40 scope on my Ruger 22 Mag many years ago. Just guessing it's been at least 15 years
Some 5 or so years ago noticed the scope wasn't holding zero. Played with it many times but finally this year looked into replacement. Searched Simmons scope and warranty and it came up. Asked question; would it be worth to send in to get it repaired or just buy another? Didn't hear anything back for a week so I bought a Bushnell Rimfire 3-9x40
The next week I get an email saying send the scope to Bushnell in KS. Send it off and almost forget about it. Today Fedex shows up with a new Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 scope.
In short if you need a scope buy Bushnell, they say and do have a rock solid warranty. If it breaks they fix or replace free.
The really good part of the story is I now have a new scope and no rifle to put it on. Mentioned it to the Admiral and she said, "I'm sure you will find help to figure that out". Dang I sure love her
