I was doing some pre-season maintenance on my trailer and I noticed the bunks have shifted down and the keel in resting on the keel roller. Should the keel be sitting on the roller or the roller just a guide when loading/unloading the boat should rest solely on the bunks? Thanks

Re: Bunk adjustment

Keel on rollers is fine, as long as boat hull sets snug on bunks to prevent side wobble. Also check the bunks to be sure that from front to back, both sides all bunks are up snug against the hull.

weight on the keel is preferred for most boats. That's how it was always done, back before bunk trailers became popular.

3 of 4 seem to agree with the point of view I've had for a few years. Keel rollers good. The more the better!
