1987 mariner 150 hp, 17.5 foot Procraft, 6 inch jack plate, 22 ss Trophy and 19 4 blade aluminum. It's all I can do to hang on to the steering wheel, wants to go to the right, would adjusting the anode help? anode is slightly pointed to the port side, if adjusting does make a difference which way should I turn?

Turning the anode CCW will help some, provided the anode is actually in the water at high speed. There is a wedge you can make of buy to help with your issue. It is bolted to the starboard side of the skeg.

They are called "Torque Tabs". Just do a search for them. I made my own out of a half- round zinc anode left over from my Bennett Trim Tabs.
