Howdy,

I have a mercruiser 120 that has no serial # tag on the block. The only id marks are I'm guessing the casting no's and engine code. It has the "heche in mexico" stamp and then a very hard to read 27700XX . The XX's look like there may have been numbers there, but are either, worn, faded or who knows. Next to that it has a A2473. And then finally the engine code next to the distributor says: MO215EAD. I've referenced service bulletin 97-06, but that doesnt seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Block id question

Maybe this will help eh?

My previous block sn 6734156 out of an 1984 mercedes has different plugs from the block mentioned above. What year did the heads change? Were other components different? I.e. exhaust manifold and such, or are they all interchangeable between years. Thanks!
