That setup should durn near tear the arms off'n a skier. I'd suggest checking your setup and operation. The engine should be brought full in for a hole shot. On most setups that will actually bring it to negative trim, and put the stern on top almost immediately.
I'm assuming the high five is vented. If it isn't, have a prop shop put some vents in it. On hole shot, the engine should spool up to about 3 grand instantly. If it balks, you could have a tune problem. If it idles fine, check the linkage and timing adjustments (link-n-sync). They need to be spot on for a good take off.
