Bell housing hinge pin tourque?

Hi all, I’m seeimg mixed info on proper tourque for housing hinge pins on MC-1 drive. What are you guys doing on these? And medium or heavy loctite?

Ayuh,..... On the MC-1, the pins are pushed in, 'n the aluminum nail inserted to lock 'em in place,......

On the later drives, the Alphas, I just run 'em in to "Good, 'n Tight",..... No loc-tite at all,....

I donno whether they changed with the R, or the MR, or the Alpha 1s,.....

Early MC1 had the nails. About 1975 they changed to the screw-in jobbies that we still see today... 60ft-lb, and if you want to use any Loctite, make it the low strength one, 222 (purple).

Book (Merc genuine shop manual) says 60ft-lb, loctite 271....

Dont use the RED, no need to go that strong and have to use HIGH heat to remove it

Even the purple (222) is enough...
