I checked the voltage and did not have an increase after starting. I then did something I know everyone in the forum seems to disaggree, but I went on and installed an ammeter in series on the positive side of the battery. The ammeter bottomed out to the negative at cranking and after starting did not indicate any current back to the battery. I therefore am questioning the rectifier. How do I check the rectifier?
