Anyone had any experience with Flexiteek?

Flexiteek is a synthetic teak substitute that's basically maintenance free, but looks like real teak. I've been seeing it on more and more boats lately. I was thinking of getting some for my slippery swim platform, or possibly my whole cockpit area. Does anybody else have any experience with it? Any drawbacks? Would you recommend it? Thanks!

I have looked in to it. It looks good but the price will be a few thousand and you need to sand your non skid.

Yes. It's EXTREMELY hot if exposed to the sun. Need to wear shoes when on it. Inside a cabin it is fine. For swim platform, SeaDek is much better, cooler and cheaper.

Yeah I figured it would be pricey. As far as the non skid goes, I don't have any, so that's not a problem. That's part of the reason I've been thinking about it, since my platform is really slippery when wet.

Y'see, there's something I never would have thought to ask, and they seem to have left that out of the brochures... Thank you for the tip! I think the SeaDek stuff is a little more in line with what I actually want.
