So, I do a ton of crabbing around the Chesapeake. I run either an 18 fastwin or a 25 sportster, both are the 22 cubes. 80% or more of the time I run at an idle up and down pulling traps that are about 50' apart with wet spurts to and from the area I'm in or while changing spots. I'm running champion j6 plugs and 50/1 oil. Can I change plugs and or change oil ratio so as not to foul out while running slow but not harm the motor at wot. I'm all ears guys.

A motor / ignition system in good condition does not foul sparkplugs !-----Is the thermostat installed on these motors ?-----Does spark jump a gap of 5/16"----J6C is fine and 50:1 is the mix.

Agree w/racer^.. best plug and ratio for those motors... If plugs are fouling more than once/year, you have your low speed needle set too rich and/or ignition service needed.
Good luck!
