I have been chasing a gremlin for a few weeks now. Reference thread
http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=237209

I recieved new powerpack yesterday, coils today.
Installed both and still weak spark.
Everything is right on this ignition, voltages are fine, resistance is fine.
changed stator, timing base, powerpack and coils, still weak spark??

AMpro spark tester has there adjusting screw painted black, alot of thick black paint.

I took the screw out and went to grinder, ground the paint off the tip, re installed the screw set to 7/16" tested the spark,,all 4 cyls. jump bright blue over a 7/16" gap.

Re-installed the old amp, the old coils and yep,,great spark

Intermittent fire I can only conclude was really corroded rusty spark plug wires on the old coils, it was stranded wire and black with corrosion when I took the sparkplug boot off to check connections.

Hours and quite a few $$$ thrown at this engine all because of a thickly painted spark tester.

Thanks for all the help and assistance in trouble shooting this problem.

Oh by the way, have not found better customer service or faster shipping than right here at iboats, ordered Monday, was waiting on me when I got home today:)
