I just bought a boat with twin 1999 OX66 225Hp Saltwater Series engines with 700 hours on them. Engines run strong, turn up to 5k RPMs, fuel consumption seems about right for boat weight @ 1.5MPG(20GPH)(total) 3500rpms. The exhaust smokes at start up which seems normal for these engines, and it clears up pretty fast at around 7-800RPMs. I'm using PENZOIL synthetic blend XLF oil.

The symptom I see: After the engines are running for a significant time (2-3hours) at 3500rpms, then slow down to troll at 9-1200rpms things loook normal. If we stop and the engines drop to idle at 600RPMs one will smoke significantly. Speeding back up to 700+ rpms it clears up immediately.

Any ideas on the cause of this is appreciated. The fact that one engine does it, not both, and some times they take turns doing it is bugging me.
