was going to look at a 1993 Johnson 9.9 with a 15 hp carb on it for my boat. Motor includes controls steering linkage etc. my question is , I know that it won't be a true 15 hp but am I looking at a motor that may give me more headaches such as not idling corectly. The gentleman wants $800 for everything . Is this something I should shy away from and find a true 15 ?
