Hello guys/gals-
We have a 89 200 cuddy, we purchased it late last summer, a prior owner removed the carpet from the floor and replaced it with some of that “teak” stick on decking. can someone confirm for me that there is storage under the floor just forward of the fuel tank? It does show one in the specification brochure, but wanted to hear from another owner that maybe has the same boat that there is one and its just covered. we would love to use it!

I know I can pull “teak decking” up to find out but that will destroy it doing so. I don’t want to pull it if its not there. if it is, then Im happy to replace the decking.

thanks for any replies!

Being a 1989, most likely the prior owner did a deck over

thanks Scott,
I doubt it was decked over, prior to me someone did a HACK job “fixing up” the boat. Guess I should have said, I rescued this boat. everything they did (so far) I had to tear out and redo. the decking material is about the only thing that was worth keeping. to sum it up, I have a whole can of sheetrock screws 🤦‍♂️ from undoing what they did. The wiring was another hack job, It’s just about sorted. this is what it looked like when I got it.

and most likely they screwed wood down over your deck and covered it with the cheap amazon fake teak.

the fact that they used sheetrock screws elsewhere almost guarantees this

Ill have to look 👀 into that deeper then. the Boat is covered in snow right now (live in CO). so it will be a bit before I can work on it. come to think of it…. last summer, working on it, I vaguely remember a corner joint looking “different” when working in the cabin. I think I have a picture…… will have a look. thanks for the input again Scott! Ill report back. 👍
