Hello
I have a 88 Bayliner Trophy 2159/60 with a OMC 5.0l and Cobra Outdrive. I have changed Fuel filters, Water Sep, Plug Wires, Rotor, Distributor Cap, Carb is rebuilt from company out of Jax, Fl. Timing is on and has been moded to Electronic Ing. It will start and run on the ears just back fires through the carb if you give it the gas to fast. Do it slow and it will run all the way up to 4500 RPM?s no problems, put it in the water and it?s very hard to start let alone keep running. Tank is clean fresh gas treated with Sea Foam and Ethanol fuel treatment. It has roughly 150 hrs on the engine according to the meter. Just don?t know what else to do, Thanks Jarrod.
P.S. I just read the Fuel check in adults only, The clear hose that comes up from the Fuel pump to the carb, should there be fuel flowing through that. Mine is bone dry no way to check for bubbles. I guess this might be my next route after everything else.
