The key hole slopes back.... so the leak collects in the bottom of the keyhole then every now and then trickles over the edge down the transom plate and into the bilge

Should I have water in the bell housing under the shiftcable?

does water in the bellhousing under the shift cable indicate that the shift bellow is leaking?

hey guys, I may have found the problem... no zip tie on the small side of the shift cable bellow  would kinda explain why it leaks more underway...

is not having a zip tie on the bellow enough to actually make me take on water???

There should be a metal crimp type of clamp there, but as tight as the freaking end of those shift bellows are, I doubt you’d be getting too much water there.

Micky could be right as far as a lower bolt leaking a little. I found mine was leaking with a bore scope.....
