'85 Elite 180 Bow Eye Access Help

My bow eye recently backed out and I am trying to figure out how to get access to it from inside the boat to fix it with a new backing plate or possibly epoxy it if the backing board is rotten.

Has anyone had success in getting access to this area on a 1985 Wellcraft Elite 180? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
