therea 8 h.p for sale and the guy said he had it in his basement for 10 yrs. now do you think the seals would dry up and the motor would have to go in the shop basiclly a head to toe work up.

It will definitely need a water pump impeller.
It could need alot of other things, depending on the condition.
What year is the motor?

It is a bit of work for sure but then it is a great way to get to know your new motor and how to do some of the basic maintenance on it. If your uncomfortable doing the maintenance stuff these little motors could cost you a fair bit of money. Rick.

what year and model # is the motor. that tells a lot. will get you better advice.
