Hey guys, anyone with a Power/Tower similar, what is your winter routine?

Lower Unit-Brand Oil/wgt/quantity

Any fogging done? Thru the carb or pulled plugs?

Thanks

I use ca. one liter of Fuel with much more oil than normal and shut the engine down with the choke after running it for several minutes.
For the cooling-system i use Glysantin G30 that i add to the cooling-water.

After that, i change the gear-oil with Quicksilver Premium Gear-Oil and store the outboard-motor in an upright position. And then i forget about the motor for the rest of the winter :)

If you want to be absolutely sure, that everything is perfectly oiled, you can spray fogging-oil into the Carbs and the plug-holes.

Outboards are self draining. You do not need any antifreeze. Dump some fuel stabilizer into the fuel tank. Run her on a flusher for a few minutes. Now spray some fogging oil into the carbs. Try to stall her, but if she smokes, but doesn't stall, turn her off. Now remove flusher and let her drain completely. Remove prop and clean propshaft. Drain and refill gear oil, and pump grease into grease fittings. Rinse block if you boat in saltwater. I rub some grease on bolt heads, just for fun.
