beautiful !.........a classic indeed !

I bought her for $2500 and spent four years getting her in shape. She has been in Classic Boating magazine(aug-sept 2000) and American Powerboat. She took a 2nd place at the Tahoe concours d'elegance

tahoe ,...wow ,.....you ARE a boat hound ! .........i left him a message , ill be in that area in the morn. to pick up the arabian , hopfully i can swing by there first and look............... what is it? did merc. make hulls?

Mercury was a small builder in so cal in the mid fifty's. I think it's a Sabre and will look like this when done:

Be very careful of your drivers seat. On my second trip out my seat broke. There I was going over 50mph and going over the top of a wake. Without any notice I was looking up at the sky laying on the floor of my boat. I drove all the way home standing up. I built a copy of the Century seat out of mahogany. I like sitting on top and looking over the windshield, so I beefed her up inside. The bar is a nice feature and as far as I know the Arabian and Coronado was the only models to get them. There is also room for a 50+ Qt cooler on ether side of the engine.;-)

Tahoe, I like your seat build, nice work. I bought a '73 Arabian 2 years ago, the original seat was missing, there was a cheap pedistal seat in it's place. I've been watching for a seat from a salvage boat without luck. I did find the seat bottom up in the bow but the seat back, frame and bar door were gone so I don't have a pattern to go by.

Is that the original seat upholstery that you used? Do you have the demensions on the one you built? If I build one, instead of mahogany, I'll have to use something like this so it will match the floor of my boat, which was replaced by a similar product. I'm new to boats so I don't know if that is a good product to replace the floor with, it does look nice if that matters.

Quik have any photos of your floor?

I'm in the early stages of my Arabians second restore. I did a ton of work on her 13 years ago and now its time for stringers.:facepalm:

I put in a teak and holly floor, new driver seat, new interior and high performance engine in 1999.

hey guy's , picked her up thismorning , just backed her up into her new home up in the mountains................. taho , do you need floor pic's for refrence , mine looks orignal , i'll snap some & post them..........
also ,quick , if you'd like i can measure the seat & send some dimention's.....................

im excited about this boat!, give me a little time & i'll send some pic's over........
