71 Evinrude Lark Fuel Problem

I installed a 1971 50hp evinrude lark on my pontoon boat runs great but after driving a bit it sucks the primer flat everytime,i changed rubber primer changed tanks checked vent on tanks but still after driving around lake it sucks the primer flat and engine quits any ideas.I also made sure the flow of the primer is facing the right direction.

If it still doing that with a different tank and vent open then the hose between the primer bulb and tank must have some trash in it.

Thank you i will just replace the whole fuel line and see how that works.

I have a 25hp on my pontoon boat and it stalls out also and when I crack the cap air wooshes in. So it's under a vacuum. I assume my vent is not working. Try cracking your cap a tad and see if it works. I have to find my vent to unplug it I reckon.

I will try that also,this motor runs so sweat it just sits there and purrs the only problem is what i stated,i had a 25hp evinrude on it prior to putting the 50hp lark on it,the lark most definately has quite a bit of power i was surprised how much.
