62 Johnson 18 hp fuel pump?

What are the chances of my fuel pump being bad? These things considered.
100psi compression each cylinder, good fuel mix, good clean carb and filter, new plugs, coils, point, etc. I'm not getting fuel. Pump the bulb and it runs. Stop and it dies. The vent is open. Even tried with the gas can lid off.

I can't find a rebuild kit for my pump and want to be certain that it's the problem before I put out $100.00. Also the replacement pumps look to be the square 2in pumps. Mine is not the same. Will these work if I do have to buy one? Thank you iboats members.

That's a much better price than I've been seeing except it's a different part number. Looks the same though. However different than the original. Thanks. I'll try this one.

I was reluctant to pull my old pump apart. Thinking I might break the diaphram. Heartbreaking if it was good. However, with a new pump ordered I pulled it apart and it was definately busted. Several small pin holes and a tear. I don't regret though, the endless troubleshooting leading up to purchasing the pump and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks again for the link to puchase one here on iboats.com. I'll be back.
