59 evinrude power problem

I have a 59 evinrude 18hp Fastwin -- it idles fine and will rev in neutral. In gear it very little power and speed at WOT - used to be much faster -- any suggestions ??

Hello.<br />Try replacing your spark plugs and dump a can of seafoam in your fuel and run it.Check to see if your contacts are still in good shape and at o.020 inch.<br />If none of the above works you may have to take your carb apart and clean it.<br />Good luck.

I don't know, sounds like it is only running on one cylender? Check compression and spark. Get back to us with a few more details.
