I now have a new problem. While in the process of putting my gearcase back togeter I found out the seal that I got from the marine shop will not fit. I went back to see if they could match it up and it seems that my 57' rude has a 56' gear case on it. At least that is what it appears to have. After search through the books we found that the 57-58's all used the same seal which is about 1/16" to small on the outside diameter. The 56' on the other hand uses what appears to be a larger seal (part # 302495) which is the number on the old seal I took out. Anyone know where I can get one without paying $30 buck or more?
