5.7 Mercruiser Starter Help

I need to know which wires hook up to the starter on a 1997 5.7 Mercruiser starter. I am helping a friend change the starter. He was supposed to write down the wiring pattern when he removed the original starter and he misplaced his notes. My Clymer manual has the wiring diagram but doesn't specify which wire goes to each terminal. Starter has large hot terminal, large terminal with starter wiring(strap to starter) and two small terminals. The wiring bundle has the large red (hot wire) from battery, one orange wire that goes to alternator, and orange/white wire. What wires hook up to the smaller terminals?

The Red and the Orange wires go to terminal A
The yellow wire with red stripe goes to B
That should be all the wires you have on a 97
