Run whatever oil pan ya want,...

The harmonic balancer should stay with the motor,...

Thought i read that about the head gasket. That would be amazing. I don't mean to question your knowledge but is there any way i can be sure about the head gasket?

Ayuh,.... I ain't seen a steel shim head gasket in an Oem motor since the '80s,....

I've never seen a steel shim head gasket used in a reman motor,....

The only steel in a composite gasket is the fire-ring, 'n if water gets that far, you've got other bigger problems,.....

Im reading a lot of conflicting reviews on composite head gaskets for salt water. I do trailer and maybe twice i forgot to flush my boat when i got back from a day out. Anyone else wanna chime in?

A TB4 does not have 30 degrees of advance, your 5.7 has a max of 24 degrees

Either that or, incorrect timing, weak fuel pump, carb mis-adjusted, or other restriction in the fuel system.

Hmmm wonder...maybe bad compression? I had 120's BUT i didn't have the carb at at wot. I didn't even have the flame arrestor off
