my engine is out. I’m trying to run it on the stand. I can’t get any spark. I’ve read a lot of articles and “how-to’s” but I keep coming across the same information.
I have power to the starter. I jumped pins 5&6. I have 12V+at the positive terminal on the coil. Bought a new coil just in case. I also have 12V+ on the negative terminal on the coil (not sure why, seems weird to me). Engine spins over good enough. I’m getting power to the Denso box on the exhaust riser but no power to the 2 wires that go to the bottom of the distributor. Please point me to a thread or shed some light on this for me. Thanks!
edit: engine is out of a 2000 Bayliner 2050 LX.
