Hey I have a 1995 40hp 2 stroke force that dies if I go wide open throttle. If i gradually give it gas it will work its way to full throttle and then die. I just replaced the primer bulb. Any other ideas?

I have an in-line clear fuel filter to see I am not starving for fuel on my 35 HP Chrysler (if running issues occur).

The last thing you said was you changed the bulb: even new they can be bad!!
Any inline connectors, they have rubber seals in them and the seals can go bad and allow air to be sucked in and interrupt the flow.
The tank vent could be clogged. Bugs get in the vent(built-in tank)line and cut off the air.

Don't forget about the fuel pump diaphragm too. It should be replaced as well as the water pump impeller on a regular basis as a normal maintenance routine.

Try pumping the ball then when the fuel is up and the motors running.
Take the ball out of the system. Then hook it direct to the pump without any thing in the line.
