4 blade improvment but ?

Ok 1975 inline 1500 18 ft procraft fish and ski total weight 2600 average load oraginal prop 13x19 5000 rpm 33 mph 23 % slip no good new 4 plade 13x17 5500 rpm 36 mph 15 % slip better so what now how much slip can i lose by going 14x17 4 blade or am i as good as it gets whole shots great my cruze is way better i just thought i should be more in the 10 % slip area

It hard to follow what you wrote. You went from 3 blade 19pitch to a 4 blade ss 17 pitch. hole shot is great and good cruise speed, why are you concerned with slip? if the prop has improved on two areas why worry?

You decreased your slip by 35% comapired to your 23% original number.

Not worried about slip just woundering if im were i should be my top speeds seem low i wanted to be in the fortys less slip seemed were i could acheive it

Is the motor in excellent tune. Timing set carefully?
Timing and lync and sync are pretty involved and critical for performance and health.
Here is an interesting quote."Due to electronic characteristics maximum advance is set at 20 degrees
BTDC but ignition will retard to 18 degrees BTDC at high engine speed."
