The problem I have is I can not find a 351 w block I can only find a 351m block and I wanted to know if it would bolt up to my OMC outdrive?

Short answer; Nope

Long answer; The 351M is a completely different animal than a 351W. It uses the Ford 385 (think 429, 460 engines) series bell housing pattern and engine mounts. It's design is very similar to a 351C which is also a completely different animal than the 351W. Basically you have almost no way of mounting it with out ALLOT of fudging, and nobody makes exhaust manifolds for it that fit an OMC drive. A 351W block really isn't too hard to find;

They have a short block available for $1250 and a long block for $1400 (plus shipping for both).

The problem is not the bell housing bolt pattern.
The problem is the exhaust manifolds that were never made for a the "M" block.

Agreed with the above. The 351M shares more with the FE-engines (429/460) than it does with the 351W aside from cylinder volume. Rebuilt 351W are pretty easy to find on craiglist, or from places like Rapido or US Engines.

The 429/460 are not FE series they are SC series, FEs are 332, 352, 360, 390, 428.

....And the Cleveland has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a 351w and same motor mounts but manifolds will still be an issue. Ford made the 351w for 30+ years, plenty around, stay away from the modified!

Thats right 429/460 were the same stroke 3.85 inch I think they called them MEL or 385 family
