I recently encountered my first problem ever with my 1986 Volvo Penta 290 outdrive. The power tilt/trim will no longer raise or lower the drive (it's stuck about 1/2 way up).
I tested it about a week ago and it worked, now the tilt motor sounds like it is running fine, but nothing is moving. The hydrolic oil in the tank looks fine and I didn't see any leak. Note that the boat is now in the water...so I'm hoping to fix without having to haul out. The engine is AQ145 Volvo.
Any experience or help would be appreciated.
