bought a 1953 15 hp two or three weeks ago with pressure tank. Changed the coils and impeller and took it out today on my buddies lightweight Sears gamefisher. We got 25 mph out of the motor by gps. Just goes to show the old ones are not done in yet.

FreddyRay,
That's really impressive. You're the second person I've heard of getting great speed out of those superfastwins. Do you know of why they're so fast, other than they're SUPER fastwins instead of just fastwins like my '56?? I only get about 23mph being pushed by my '56 with a light boat....:) And 2mph is a pretty big difference to me! My '57 18hp only gets about 26.3mph.

JBJ

I wasn't able to get a close up pic, but here is one of it on the boat.
