i have 12 volts to the starter, had the starter checked out and all is fine, turn the key and nothing, not even a click, power trim wont work either. all electrical at console works fine, IE depth finder, bilge pump etc.
checked all fuses also
starter relay?
if starter relay, will that keep power trim from operating too?

Is the ignition key in good working order, how old is the current battery probably low on amps which it's what starts a motor up, not volts.

Test you motor ground. When you confirmed 12v to your starter solenoid did you use the motor block as the ground?
Bad ground on the motor would cause your symptoms. If bad ground, the negative battery lead connection on the battery is often a culprit. Make sure it’s clean. When you say the trim won’t work are you using trim switches on the motor or on the remote? Try trim switches on motor.
If the ground is good on the motor and you you were unsuccessfully trying the trim via the remote, I would check the plug on the remote where it plugs into the motor.
Check this stuff first.
