2007 volvo 3.0 sxm prob daft question!

Hello to all!
Have had issues since purchasing the boat with galvanic corrosion.
Just completed a bellow change and when nosing around in the engine compartment found both ( twin drives) seem to have a black earth strap that was fixed to the transom plate, but not bolted to the engine??
Have sinced fitted back to the bellhousing.
Prob a really dumb question but do you reckon ive sorted the fault??

Could be. Those bonding wires are there for a reason. Seems the boat manufacturer doesn't understand the process though.

Ill give the drives another repaint so that they dont look a thounsand years old..whack on some fresh anodes and hope for the best.....
I am right in thinking that the sxm drives do not have cable bellows right?
